About Cindy

Hi! I’m Cindy, host of Behind the Brayer and owner / admin of the Gel Print Enthusiasts Facebook community. I’m a passionate gel printer, mixed media artist, and lover of all things creative. Through the podcast, I get to combine two of my favorite things: connecting with fellow artists and sharing the messy, magical joy of gel printing.

When I’m not recording or experimenting with paint, paper, and a gel plate, you’ll often find me reading, writing, or exploring calligraphy. I also have a not-so-secret love for organizing projects and bringing people together—skills that fuel both the podcast and our online community.

Like many artists, I’ve mastered the art of not only creating but also collecting (ahem… hoarding!) the supplies that make creativity possible.

I grew up on a farm in rural Arkansas, but these days I live in sunny Southern California with my husband of more than 25 years and our three cats. I still carry a love for the simple beauty of farm life, even as I fully embrace being a city girl at heart.
